Unique Danish spacesaver gateleg dining table, circa 1960/70s
In the style of George Nelson model 4656, for Herman Miller in 1946, and 1955's design by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard for France & Søn.
Made from teak and Afromosia with two-fold-down leaves, brass hinges and a gate leg frame.
Look closely at the sublime, sculptural shaping of the legs.
Its unique frame has a unique mechanism which the legs open when unfolding the table leaving all the space under the surface free maken this piece so comfortable to seat on.
This stunning piece of furniture can sit as a console table when the leaves are folded down.This example updated a classic form — which converts from console to dining table — for the modern aesthetic of the mid-century.

Excellent restored condition.
All the tops have been complete restored
All the frame and legs have been cleaned and waxed
