Stylish Set of 4 Josef Hoffmann Style ‘Prague' Model 811 Chairs, circa 1970s.
Originally designed by Hoffman for Thonet in the 1920s. 
These chairs were produced later under license in Czechoslovakia by Ligna Drevounia. (makers mark to underside).
 
Bentwood Chair No.811 by Josef Hoffmann, a leading Austrian architect and designer in the early 20th century.
Designed in the late 1920s and released by THONET, this model is also known as the Prague chair.
 
This monopod has an impressive flowing curve, such as the graceful curved frame line, the joints that connect the legs made of a single piece of bent wood, and the rattan backrest and seat that are carefully woven by hand.
 
The wood is a natural light brown colour and the rattan nets a lighter beige. 
The legs are lightly bent, as is typical for bentwood designs. 
Great as a desk chair, dining chair or a standalone piece!

Original condition
Very good vintage condition, some signs of age and wear on the wood in the form of scratches, worn down wood varnish (see photographs). 
The cane nets are in very good condition. The cane backs and the seats are all strong,
Please notice on of the seats has the cane a bit loose, little sag (showed in pictures)  but It doesn't affect its use, the seats are still strong and supportive.
